Fall and all its wonderful “yumminess” is here! Thanks to sjmagazine.net, I’ve compiled a list of 15 Halloween / Fall Activities in Burlington and Camden Counties. From pumpkin picking and hayrides to fall festivals and haunted houses, mark your calendar with fall fun for the family. Here’s what’s happening for the rest of this season.

Russo’s Fruit and Vegetable Farm

Pick your own pumpkins and apples; take a tractor ride out to the field to get your pumpkin.

Hours: Fridays through Sundays in October from 9 am to 4:30 pm

Cost: $0.49 per pound picked

Popes’ Gardens

Pick your own pumpkins, gourds, tomatoes, peppers, kale, broccoli and more; plus kids can visit the sheep, alpacas, emus and yaks owned by the farm.

Hours: Weekends in October from 9 am to 6 pm

Cost: $1.50 per pumpkin; $6 hayride includes free pumpkin

Strawberry Hill Farm

Pick your own apples, peaches, pears, plums and nectarines.

Hours: Daily 9 am to 5 pm

Cost: $0.95 per pound picked

3 Waln Road, Chesterfield




Taylor River Side Farm

Pick your own pumpkins, tomatoes, peppers, squash, zucchini and more.

Hours: Daily 9 am to 6 pm

Cost: Call for more information

Springdale Farms

Grab a pumpkin on a daytime hayride, or enjoy a lantern-lit ride to a campfire in the evening.

Hours: Weekends from 10 am to 3:30 pm and weekdays at 11 am, 2 pm and 4 pm

Cost: $3.75 per hayride, $0.79 per pound of pumpkin

Johnson’s Farm

Pick your own pumpkins and apples on the hayride, then stop back at the market for apple cider and cider donuts.

Hours: Daily from 10 am to 5 pm

Take a scenic hayride through the apple orchard — don’t forget to pick up a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch!

Hours: Daily from 9 am to 5 pm

Indian Acres Tree Farm

Ride through natural woodlands and Christmas tree fields, cross Barton Run and pick up a pumpkin on a tractor ride.

Hours: Weekends in October from 10 am to 5 pm and weekdays from noon to 4 pm

Cost: $3.50 per person, free for age 2 and younger

Fall Harvest Festivals

Every weekend in October

11 am to 5 pm

Cost: $4-$8 per activity, call for details

Scarecrow Contest

Cost: Free

Scarecrows are placed along Main Street in Medford for viewing




Not-So-Scary Halloween

October 23-25

5:30 to 8:30 pm

Cost: $16 for adults, $12 for children, free for age 2 and younger

Route 545, Chesterfield Township (three miles east of Route 206)




Medford Halloween Parade

October 24

7 pm

Parade starts at St. Mary of the Lakes School and runs along Fire House Lane and Main Street




Goblins in the Garden

October 24-25

1 to 4 pm

Cost: $6 admission, free for age 2 and younger

Camden Children’s Garden

3 Riverside Drive, Camden

Haddon Heights

October 26: 4 to 7 pm

Free admission


Highlights: haunted house; costume contest; train ride; magic show; inflatable rides; jack-o-lantern carving contest. Halloween parade begins at 3:30 pm

Saturday: 10 am to 9 pm

Sunday: 11 am to 6 pm

Cost: Free
